Good morning, my friend,
Marvel Comics released the long-awaited first issue of Amazing Spider-Man that explains what Peter did all the way back in issue #1.
I’ve read and reviewed it, and in short, it’s a good start. But more than a few readers and critics are still down on the issue because Marvel made a critical mistake in their story plan - they made the readers wait too long.
This week’s Op-Ed addresses the topic of waiting and how there’s a right and wrong way to do it.
[Spoiler: Marvel did NOT do it the right way]
[Op-Ed] How Long Is Too Long To Wait For Answers?
Next up, DC announced a number of new titles and creative team changes coming up in the next several months. If you’re up to speed on DC Comics and share a similar opinion about the state of their creative output, you’ll know I’m mostly unhappy with this list because things that are working (The Flash) get cut short, and things that aren’t working (Wonder Woman) are moving from one problematic creator to another.
DC published the following press release to spell out all the details. Give it a read, and let me know what you think in the Comments section.
