Good morning, my friend,
Every week we keep an eye out for new milestones in our site’s growth. Growth is not a sprint, it’s a marathon, so the week-to-week growth generally doesn’t look like anything remarkable.
This week, however, we did hit a signifcant milestone; due in part to the power of partnership. On Tuesday (February 1st, 2022 for future generations), we hit 1,000 followers on our Facebook page. For larger review sites that have been around forever, that may seem like much, but we treasure every victory.
This particular victory was helped along by the admins of a few Facebook groups who like what we do and offered a promotional exchange. They helped us, so we’re returning the favor.
We like the publishers we review, and it’s no surprise that those publishers put out variant covers and art to help the sale of those titles. A lot of those covers feature the lovely ladies who headline those comics from guest artists and cosplayers in the upper tiers of their craft. Sure, the variants can sometimes be a little spicy, but we never feature anything above a PG-13. Therefore, we have a couple of groups who offer to feature the posts we provide with our reviews, and in return, we hope you’ll consider giving these groups a look and join them.
The Bad Girls of Goth And Fantasy Art
The Ladies of Fangs and Steel
The Beautiful Women of Comix and Fantasy Art
Again, these are all PG-13 groups and completely Safe-for-Work (SFW). We appreciate the mods who helped us over the 4-figure follower mark, and promoting them is the least we can do.
That said, we’ve reached the stage of growth where we’re open to all kiinds of partnerships. If you know of any streamers, podcasts, groups, websites, or any entity that wants to promote what they do as much as we do, please forward this newsletter to them and encourage them to get in touch by sending an email with the word “Promotion” in the subject line to info@comicalopinions.com
On a completely separate topic, we have a new opinion piece out on the often-debated topic of politics in comics. Give it a read and let us know your thoughts on the topic. What do YOU think of our conclusion?
Comic Opinion: Have Comics Always Been Political?
