I think this Adriano gentleman is brilliant!

(But really, thanks for posting the op-ed. Happy to be featured.)

Great article Adriano, I still think Digital can be a good revenue generator for the creators. As a platform we don't have volumes just yet so obviously money on our platform is not life changing yet, but in theory if you sell a book for 10$ and you keep 8.5 out of that, that's a good revenue as opposed to the share you get from a subscription service, which is some cents for 100s of reads. I think we're fighting a hard battle ( and we're not along dstlry is doing so as well ), to change the buyer behavior.

One more thing, is a lot of creators see digital as a way to get their word out and trivialize their own creation by giving it away for free. I agree on digital being significantly cheaper, but I never encourage anyone to give it away for free. We all need to collectively drive that change in reader's purchasing behavior and the biggest thing that creators can do is, give digital as much importance as a physical comic.

To also drive the analogy home when you compare digital music and digital comics, musicians make their most money on iTunes / Google Play because you pay for a song or an album and a musician can directly distribute their songs there themselves. Almost no musician loves Spotify as much as they do iTunes / Google Play.
