When I say we went back on our word, it would be more accurate to say we made an exception to our mission statement. What did we do?
We reviewed a Marvel title. SHOCK! GASP!
Since the site began, we’ve made it clear that readers can find umpteen numbers of sites that already cover the Big 2 to excruciating levels of shillery. We made it our mission to show comics readers from every country and walk of life that there are a LOT of comics out there beyond the Big 2 (or Big 5, if you prefer), and we wanted to be the site to bring them the attention they don’t get anywhere else.
So, why the change? To be honest, a strong subsection of our readers love pulp comics, and you can’t go too far into any pulp fandom without bringing up Robert E. Howard’s creation, Conan the Barbarian. In truth, Marvel’s Conan books don’t get a lot of review coverage, so we’ll make an exception… just for you, Conan of Cimmeria.
Now, let’s get to it for the Conan review and all the other titles that gave him quite a bit of competition this week.
Bettie Page: Curse of the Banshee #4 (Dynamite Comics)
Vampiverse #1 (Dynamite Comics)
By The Horns #5 (Scout Comics)
We may have a few Scout titles depending on how the recent supply chain issues shake out, and we will be getting back on the Indie list very soon.
